The Manse Nursing Home is a family run home offering Nursing and Residential care with 44 bed capacity and located in the heart of Kirkham, Lancashire between Blackpool and Preston.
Over its thirty-year existence it has grown steadily but was begging to be hampered by communication issues. They had a traditional on-premises telephone system connected by ISDN, together with a basic ADSL broadband and wi-fi facility which did not really stretch to all the rooms in the home.
These issues really came to a head during the onset of the Covid pandemic as all their core interactions with GP surgeries, the NHS and other health professional moved primarily to online.
These substantial connectivity issues were really coming to a head and proving a real obstacle to providing the level of care required.
Avandda were brought in to speedily come up with a suitable solution that would be more effective going forward.
Their recommendations lead to the incorporation of a hosted VoIP telephone system that would allow considerably more extensions to communicate not only with staff around the building but also improve communications with families, support services and exterior personnel.
As a part of this upgrade, Avandda also installed super-fast fibre broadband with a wi-fi system that was highly functional across the whole site, which greatly improved the working environment.
