Duty Free Clothing a perfect fit.

Avandda have recently been involved in helping Duty Free Clothing’s move to a new, impressive headquarters in central Manchester.

The rapid expansion of the company had meant a move to a brand new, purpose built location, which not only houses the company’s design and distribution arm but also a retail outlet, plus ground floor shops, let to tenants and a wide range of serviced offices.

Avandda were involved in the complete build project from the outset over a two year period, working with the mechanical and electrical team, attending regular project meetings on site to ensure smooth running.

Avandda engineers were responsible for the set up and installation of the complete voice and data cabling network, administered all the data cabling terminations across the building and supplied and installed a complete telephone system, designed to operate not only for the head office operations but also the tenanted retail and business units.

Specification of the communication solution was agreed at the outset. Much of the emphasis was to ensure low running costs but also to future proof the communications for the building.

Given the high specification nature of the building, it was an inherent stipulation within the brief to ensure that the telecom solution could cope with the future evolution of the ever-evolving converged voice and data arena.

As part of the one stop product and service offering, Avandda supplied the necessary telephone lines and numbers to the building. This included analogue lines for alarm systems, lifts etc. The latest generation of telephone voice lines, SIP trunks (VoIP) were installed together with high-speed broadband access. 

Avandda also specified and supplied a telephone system capable of supplying multiple tenant businesses with DDI lines, plus a reception for Duty Free incorporating auto attendant and voice mail and supplied software for card billing across the multi tenanted occupancy.
