All smiles at Sheffield dentist
A recent installation at a Yorkshire dentist by Avandda has transformed the communications for the practice with the minimum of disruption.
Totley Rise Dental Surgery comprises of three dentists, two hygienists and a receptionist based in a two-storey building. The practice had an old telephone system that gave them problems transferring calls, saving messages and giving ‘out-of-hours’ messages during evenings, weekends and holidays.
Avandda went in to see them on the advice of an existing customer. We listened to their problems and requirements and, together with the customer, developed a solution that not only solved their present problems but also took into account the likelihood of the practice expanding into the upper floor of the building. Avandda proposed installing digital lines to enable all the functions of the system to be operable, and a Samsung 7100 digital telephone system with voicemail, messaging and conference call ability. The ability to transfer calls, have 2 calls at the same time with one on hold, all at the touch of a single button, was also in the system.
The ordering of the lines, ensuring that the line installation coincided with the system installation, was all project managed by Avandda, together with the pre-programming of the system to the customers operating requirements before installation. On the day of installation, the system was installed onto the new lines with new cabling to the telephones, the existing surgery number was ported across to the new lines, and the system was up and running in a couple of hours causing minimum disruption to the surgery and its patients. The ‘out-of-hours’ messaging required by the NHS was incorporated into the operation of the system, with the ability to dial in and get messages when the surgery was closed. All operations in closing the surgery and switching the calls to night mode, weekend mode and holiday mode were automatic.
Full training on the telephones and management of the system was completed leaving a very happy customer who within one month of installation has recommended Avandda to two of his fellow surgeries.
